Meat processing: approval of food businesses (meat) Unfortunately this specification of service has not yet been completely translated.

Food businesses handling meat or meat products generally require authorisation.

According to EC Regulation No 853/2004, food businesses handling meat or meat products are in principle subject to authorisation. There are exceptions to the authorisation requirement in individual cases.

As different documents have to be submitted on a case-by-case basis, it is recommended that you contact the competent body in advance.
