Chemicals: Certificate of competence in accordance with the Chemicals Climate Protection Ordinance Unfortunately this specification of service has not yet been completely translated.

Anyone who wants to install or maintain systems with fluorinated greenhouse gases, e.B., requires a certificate of competence.

If you install systems with fluorinated greenhouse gases, check for leaks, maintain, maintain or recover the gases, you will need a new certificate of competence after 4 July 2009 so that you can continue your activity. This is provided for in the Chemicals Climate Protection Ordinance, which came into force on 1 August 2008 and is based on the European F-Gas Regulation.

This concerns the following activities:

  • activities on refrigeration systems, air conditioning systems and heat pumps,
  • activities on equipment containing fluorinated greenhouse gases as solvents,
  • activities on fire protection systems and fire extinguishers,
  • activities on high-voltage switchgear and
  • Activities on air conditioning systems in motor vehicles.

In order to acquire the certificates of competence, you must always take a theoretical and practical competence examination.

Upon request, an exemption from the need for technical and craft training may be granted, provided that the applicant proves that he or she is comparably qualified.

Hints

In the following cases, you must also:

  • In the case of refrigeration and air-conditioning activities and heat pumps, have completed technical or craft training enabling the activity in question and have passed a theoretical and practical examination in accordance with Article 5(1) of Regulation (EC) No 303/2008.
  • In the case of activities at facilities containing fluorinated greenhouse gases as solvents, have successfully completed technical or craft training enabling the activity in question and have passed a theoretical and practical examination in accordance with Article 3(1) of Regulation (EC) No 306/2008.
  • In the case of activities on fire protection systems and fire extinguishers, have passed a theoretical and practical test in accordance with Article 5(1) of Regulation (EC) No 304/2008.
  • In the case of activities on high-voltage switchgear, a theoretical and practical test in accordance with Art. 4 para. 1 of Regulation (EC) No 305/2008.
  • In the case of activities on air conditioning systems in motor vehicles, have successfully participated in a training programme in accordance with Article 3(2) of Regulation (EC) No 307/2008.
