Journeyman's examination: Part 1 - Admission

Anyone who completes vocational training with a stretched journeyman's examination requires a separate admission for Part 1 of the journeyman's examination.

If you are completing vocational training with a "stretched journeyman's examination", you will need a separate admission for Part 1. To be admitted to Part 1 of the journeyman's examination, you must:

  • have completed the required training period prescribed in the training regulations,
  • have provided evidence of formal qualifications,
  • register for the exam or have it registered by your trainer.

In addition, your vocational training relationship must be registered in the apprentice role. This does not apply if the entry is missing for a reason for which neither the trainee (apprentice) nor his legal representation is responsible.

The Chairman of the Examination Board decides on admission to the journeyman's examination. If he does not consider the admission requirements to be met, the Examination Board shall decide.

  • Registration
  • prescribed training certificate booklets or report booklets,
  • Copy of the certificate of participation in prescribed training measures.

Apprentices must be released to take part in examinations. For the period of leave, the trainees will continue to be paid the training allowance.

People with disabilities should already point out their special concerns when registering for the final examination so that they can be taken into account when carrying out the final examination.

Trainees who have taken parental leave must not be disadvantaged when deciding on admission.
