Register the event in writing with the competent authority. This can be done either by a form provided by the authority, electronically or by informal application.

The informal application should contain the following points:

  • Details of the organiser and the person responsible
  • Place, time and period of the event
  • Details of the animals and species on show or on offer

The venue to be used for the event will be inspected on site by the relevant veterinary authority. The permit to exhibit animals (possibly with conditions and restrictions) or the negative decision as well as the fee notice are usually sent by post.

Tip: Before applying, enquire at the competent authority about details of the requirements and the procedure; if available, you will also receive the application/notification form there.
