If the passport is untraceable, lost or stolen, the loss must be reported immediately to the passport authority.

If the passport has been lost, i.e. the passport has been untraceable, lost or stolen, the card holder has the obligation to immediately notify the passport authority of the loss.

If the passport is found again, this must also be reported immediately to the passport authority.

Appropriate evidence to establish your identity (for example, official photo ID or driver's license).

If you need a replacement at short notice, you can

  • an express pass (maximum processing time 72 hours) or
  • a temporary passport (validity maximum 1 year)
