In the case of births in hospitals and other obstetric facilities, the obligation to notify falls to the institution's institution. Otherwise, you are obliged to report a birth in the following order:

  • each parent of the child, if he or she has custody,
  • any other person who was present at the birth or is taught from the birth from their own knowledge.

The last group of cases includes midwives and doctors in particular.

To report the birth of a child, the following documents are required:

  • If the parents of the child are married to each other: their birth certificates and the marriage certificate or a certified printout from the marriage register
  • If the parents of the child are not married to each other: the mother's birth certificate and, if paternity has already been recognised, the declarations thereof and the father's birth certificate and, if applicable, the declaration of custody,
  • Identity card, passport or other passport replacement document of the parents.
