Upon request, the registration authority shall issue a written registration certificate to the person concerned. The simple registration certificate contains the following data: Surname former names, Forenames Doctorate Order name, artist name, date and place of birth and, in the case of birth abroad, also the state, current addresses, marked by main and secondary residence. Upon request, the following additional data can also be included in an extended registration certificate: legal representative, spouse, partner and minor children each with Surname and first names, doctoral degree, date of birth, address, current nationalities, former addresses, Move-in date, move-out date and Marital status Religion. A registration certificate may be required, for example, for the marriage. Certificates for other persons can only be served on the person concerned in writing or handed over on presentation of a power of attorney. Foreign citizens must present an extended registration certificate to their consulates for passport matters.
Registration certificates must be applied for in person or by an authorised person: the identity card or passport of the applicant, and if applicable, power of attorney.
