Scientific research projects in schools (studies, surveys, test series and the like) require approval. This can be granted if the project reveals a considerable scientific interest with regard to the educational mission of the school and the burden on the school is kept within a reasonable framework.

  • A description of the project (including conception, designation of the responsible project manager, designation of any partners involved, information on the concrete procedure of the project)
  • The survey documents such as questionnaires, interview guides, test documents, cover letters to the participants, if necessary letters to the legal guardians in order to obtain consent to the participation of underage students. The survey documents must clearly state the purpose of the project, the indication of voluntary participation, the treatment of the survey documents and their final whereabouts provided for by the applicant, as well as the procedure of the project.
  • Information on the timing and expected duration of the project.
  • An overview of the schools/classes where the project is to be carried out.

The application must be made in writing.
