Grammar school Unfortunately this specification of service has not yet been completely translated.

The Gymnasium provides an in-depth general education.

After primary school, the Gymnasium provides suitable pupils with an in-depth general education that meets the requirements for taking up university studies or comparable vocational training. With the Abitur examination, the certificate of the general university entrance qualification is acquired.

For the school year 2019/20 - growing up with the 5th and 6th year - the nine-year course of education to the Abitur will be the rule at the Gymnasium. The existing G8 years are expiring. One of the 99 public grammar schools continues to offer only the eight-year course. Three grammar schools offer both the nine- and eight-year course of education in parallel (so-called Y-model).

The state of Schleswig-Holstein supports the G8 lunchtime care and the offers of the open all-day schools at grammar schools.

To register at the Gymnasium:

  • Half-year report of grade 4,
  • School transition recommendation,
  • if applicable, learning plan.
