War-damaged persons and their surviving dependents are granted benefits in accordance with the Federal Pension Act on request.

War invalids and their surviving dependents (widows, widowers, life partners, orphans and parents) are granted care in accordance with the Federal Pension Act (BVG) on request. The supply includes:

  • Medical treatment, exercises for the disabled and medical treatment (§§ 10 to 24a BVG),
  • Benefits of war victims' welfare (§§ 25 to 27j BVG),
  • Damaged pension (§§ 29 to 34 BVG) and care allowance (§ 35 BVG),
  • Funeral allowance (§ 36 BVG) and death grant (§ 37 BVG),
  • Survivor's pension (§§ 38 to 52 BVG),
  • Funeral allowance in the event of the death of surviving dependents (§ 53 BVG).
  • birth certificate or (if the application is submitted in person) identity card or passport,
  • Confirmation of registration,
  • if applicable, medical documents in your possession (e.g. expert opinions),
  • if applicable, power of attorney, supervisor's card or certificate of appointment,
  • Wehrmacht dismissal certificate, salary book or military passport, if in possession,
  • if applicable, a pension notice, if you have already received or applied for disabilities in accordance with the Federal Pension Act or previous pension regulations.
