Anyone who is not yet 18 years old and wants to start an employment relationship must undergo a medical examination (exception: e.g. holiday job).

Anyone who is not yet 18 years old and wants to start an employment relationship must undergo a medical examination (youth employment protection examination). Without this study, employers are not allowed to employ young people.

For this purpose,

  • a certificate of eligibility for examination (serves as a billing document and must be handed in to the examining doctor) and
  • a survey form (used to present the current physical and psychological situation and must be submitted in full to the examining doctor).

The requirement for an examination of the protection of young people at work at work is not necessary for minor work or work lasting no longer than two months, of which no health disadvantages for the young person or the young person are to be feared. As a rule, these conditions are likely to be fulfilled in the case of employment during the school holidays.
