Electoral roll

The voters' register includes citizens who are expected to be entitled to vote on election day and who have their main residence in the municipality.

An official voters' register is kept in each constituency for upcoming elections (European, Bundestag, Landtag and local elections). The voters' register includes all citizens who are expected to be entitled to vote on election day and have their main residence in the municipality.
Eligible voters who are registered in the municipality on the cut-off date (42nd day before the election) will be entered ex officio in the voters' register and notified at least three weeks before the election day (election notification).
If you have not received a voter notification, you should contact your municipality immediately.
