Organ donation Unfortunately this specification of service has not yet been completely translated.

Organ donation can save lives. And it doesn't always affect the others. You, your family, or a good friend can suddenly rely on life-saving organ donation or tissue transplantation. Whether it is due to a serious illness or an accident.   In order to help people in Rhineland-Palatinate learn more about organ donation and at the same time become open and sensitive to it, the MSAGD and its partner in the Organ Donation Initiative (RLP) (IO-RP) inform about the topic.   Whatever you think of organ donation, make a decision. Carry an organ donation card that clearly documents whether you want to donate in an emergency or not. By the way: Your relatives will also be grateful if you take this decision away from you.

Organ donation is a very personal decision and, of course, voluntary. It is regulated in detail and clearly in the Transplantation Act (TPG) of 1997, so that no abuse can be carried out. Information and an organ donation card for download can be obtained from the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Social Affairs, Labour, Health and Demography, of the Initiative Organ Donation Rhineland-Palatinate, at the Federal Centre for Health Education, by the Federal Ministry of Health and by the German Organ Transplantation Foundation.
