In addition, you must be 18 years of age. As the keeper of a dangerous dog, you must take out and maintain liability insurance to cover personal injury and property damage caused by the dog with a minimum insurance sum of EUR 500,000 for personal injury and EUR 250,000 for other damages. Dangerous dogs must be permanently and unmistakably marked with an electronically legible chip in such a way that their identity and danger can be established. The marking shall be proven by a veterinary certificate.
