Motor vehicle: dispose of end-of-life vehicles (proof of recovery) Unfortunately this specification of service has not yet been completely translated.
Since 1 January 2007, last-passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (i.e. vehicles carrying goods up to 3.5 tonnes) have been able to return their end-of-life cars they wish to dispose of to the manufacturer or importer free of charge. They are obliged to take back end-of-life vehicles and have to set up a comprehensive return system themselves or through commissioned third parties. The exemption from free withdrawal shall be of end-of-life vehicles for which essential components or components or electronic ballasts have been removed and which have not been registered in the European Union at least 1 month before final decommissioning. If a vehicle is permanently decommissioned and disposed of, a certified end-of-life car recycling company shall issue a certificate of recovery to the vehicle registration authority.
