Driving licence: Reissue/ reissue
Anyone who drives a motor vehicle on public roads generally requires a driving licence. If a person proves to be unsuitable or unfit to drive motor vehicles, the driving licence authority shall withdraw his driving licence. This applies in particular if there are illnesses or defects or if traffic regulations or criminal laws have been violated significantly or repeatedly and the suitability to drive motor vehicles is thereby excluded. Your driving licence has been legally revoked and you would like to acquire it again. A driving licence may only be re-issued on application after withdrawal and after expiry of any blocking period laid down.
After the withdrawal of the driving licence or the waiver of the driving licence, the driving licence office checks carefully whether you are physically, mentally and characteristically suitable for driving motor vehicles again. As a rule, the same rules apply to the reissue as to the first issue of a driving licence. A new driving licence test is only required if it must be assumed that you no longer have the knowledge and skills required to drive a motor vehicle. Recognised proof of training in first aid Identity card/passport, if necessary with registration certificate new photograph (chest image 45 x 35 mm according to passport regulation) Penalty order or court judgment with legal force note in the case of new classifications A, A1, A2, AM, B, BE, L or T: additional Eye test certificate in the case of new class C1, C1E, C, CE, D1, D1E, D or DE: additional Certificate of a general medical examination Testimony or attestation of vision For classes D1, D1E, D or DE: Certificate of good conduct if applicable, a medical-psychological report to check whether you are fulfilling your special responsibility for the carriage of passengers After receipt of the application, further declarations/documents may be requested.
