Construction project advance notice
For each construction site where the expected duration of the work is more than 30 working days and on which more than 20 employees work simultaneously, or the scope of the work is expected to exceed 500 person days, a prior notice shall be sent to the competent authority no later than two weeks before the site is set up, containing at least the information set out in Annex I to the Construction Site Ordinance. The notice must be visible on the construction site and adjusted in the event of significant changes.
Mandatory information in accordance with Annex I BaustellV: Location of the construction site, name and address of the client, type of construction project, The name and address of the third party responsible in place of the client, the name and address of the coordinator, expected start and duration of work, estimated maximum number of employees on the construction site, Number of employers and entrepreneurs without employees expected to work on the site; Indication of employers and entrepreneurs who have already been selected without employees.

Rule of thumb: Advance notice is usually required if the construction activities require the use of at least 4 workers over a period of more than 6 months. Section 7 (1) No. 1 BaustellV: Any person who intentionally or negligently does not submit a prior notice to the competent authority, correctly, not completely or not in due time.
In accordance with Section 4 baustellV, it must be checked by the client or his commissioned third parties whether one of the conditions in accordance with Section 2 (2) BaustellV is fulfilled. If so, the prior notice must be sent to the competent authority in good time, visible on the construction site and adjusted in the event of significant changes.
