The State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Care (LSJV) as a recognition authority checks the professional qualification obtained abroad for equivalence with German vocational training. The determination of the possible significant differences between vocational training acquired in Germany and vocational training acquired abroad is carried out. After the examination of equivalence, a declaration of declaratory opinion shall be issued. After the determination of equivalence and proof of the further personal conditions, the licence to hold the professional title is granted.

- Up-to-date complete tabular list of training and further education completed as well as the gainful activities (professional CV) in German. - Proof of identity (identity card/passport) in a simple copy - Proof(s) of vocational training completed abroad (such as.B. diploma, diploma, examination certificate) Proof: - Subjects and hours of theoretical and practical teaching/exercises as well as internships during the training with an hour range - Duration and content of practical training (clinical internships) with indication of the individual subject areas Point ratings (e.B. ECTS) and censors are not sufficient, even weekly hours without specifying the number of weeks per training year/semester. Where appropriate, proof shall be required from the training centre or the competent health authority in the home/training country. - Evidence of relevant professional experience, if available. In individual cases, you will be asked to provide further documentation. Only in the case of training certificates from the European Union, the European Economic Area or Switzerland Certifying the competent authority of the Member State of the level of qualification required by Article 11 of Directive 2005/36/EC, the training corresponds in both original and German translation.

Documents are - in the original/home language as officially certified Copy of the original and - to be presented in German translation as a simple copy. For the certification of copies please contact in Germany to your city, municipal or district administration; abroad to the Diplomatic Missions of the Federal Republic of Germany or notaries (confirmation text, if applicable, additionally in German translation!). Certification is not accepted by translators, accountants, lawyers or copies of certified copies. Only translations that are translated in Germany or abroad by a publicly appointed or sworn interpreter or translator/ -in. Translations made abroad must come from an institution authorised to provide a sworn translation (or equivalent) in that country.
Applicants from abroad submit the documents directly to the State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Care Rhineland-Palatinate. There, the documents are checked for completeness and, if necessary, documents are still requested if they are not complete.
