Operators of insiating stations or embryo collection units require the authorisation to operate under animal husbandry law. The permit refers to the respective insaition centre with its operating parts as well as to the material area of activity.
The application for a permit must include: the name, address and indication of the legal form of the operator, the addresses of all parts of the holding and the indication of their function for the collection, treatment, storage and delivery of semen or ova and embryos, and indication of the area of activity.
A written request is required.
Permission is granted if: a veterinarian manages the insais ment centre in a veterinary and technical way or ensures that the veterinary duties are carried out by a veterinarian or a veterinarian who is contractually bound to the insais, the personnel required for proper operation are available, the facilities necessary for the extraction, treatment, storage and supply of semen are available, and the male breeding animals are present
