Architects' list Registration of German capital company

Pursuant to Section 3(4) of the Architects Act, a corporation may only hold a professional title in accordance with Section 3(1) of the Architects Act, a word connection with it or a similar name in its company only if it is entered in the company register under that name.

Company contract (copy or publicly certified copy); the appointment of the managing director in certified form; Registration for the commercial register or extract of the commercial register; proof of sufficient professional liability insurance to cover the liability risks arising from the object of the company in accordance with Section 8 (2) of the Architects Act.

The following conditions must be met, inter alia, for registration: Registered office or branch office in Rhineland-Palatinate; Proof of adequate professional insinuating insurance; The object of the company must be the performance of professional tasks in accordance with Section 1 of the Architects Act; Regulations in the social contract for compliance with professional obligations (Section 2 Architects Act); Capital and voting shares as well as management powers must be at least half of the members of the profession. The remaining shares may only be held by consultant engineers.
The application will be submitted to the Registration Committee of the Chamber of Architects of Rhineland-Palatinate for a decision. The Registration Committee is a judicially independent body which checks whether the conditions for an entry are met. By entering it in the register of companies, a corporation does not become a member of the Chamber of Architects. The professionals involved in a company are only members of the Chamber of Architects of Rhineland-Palatinate as "natural persons".
