Recognising test experts for fire protection

Particularly competent and qualified persons in fire protection can apply for recognition as test experts for fire protection in order to be able to check fire protection concepts / fire protection certificates in the building permit procedure instead of the building supervisory authority.

The application must be accompanied by the necessary information and evidence in accordance with § 3 (2) of the State Ordinance on Experts for Structural Fire Protection.

In particular, these are the following documents:

  1. proof of nationality,
  2. a curriculum vitae with a complete indication of the professional career and professional activity at the time of application,
  3. transcripts or photocopies of university diplomas and all certificates of previous employment,
  4. a declaration that an application for a certificate of good conduct intended for submission to an authority (Section 30(5) of the Federal Central Register Act) has been submitted, or an equivalent document from a Member State of the European Union or from a State treated as such under the law of the European Communities; the certificate of good conduct or the equivalent document should not be older than three months,
  5. proof of the existence of the conditions laid down in § 2 sec. 1 sentence 1 no. 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7, whereby the existence of the requirement under § 2 sec. 1 sentence 1 no. 4 must be proven by an expert opinion pursuant to § 4, and

a declaration that there are no grounds for failure under Paragraph 2(2).

The application for recognition as an audit expert or test expert for fire protection must be submitted in writing to the highest building supervisory authority. In doing so, it must be stated for which subject recognition is requested and whether and how often a procedure for recognition as an examination expert or test expert for fire protection, even outside the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, has been unsuccessful.
