Recognise the testing, monitoring or certification body (PÜZ body) for construction products

As impartial bodies, PÜZ bodies contribute to ensuring that construction products meet national requirements and can be used safely. Recognition is required in order to be able to act as a PÜZ post in accordance with the Rhineland-Palatinate Land Building Code.

The application shall be attached to the corresponding documents in accordance with Section 3(2) of the Land Ordinance on Recognition as a Testing, Surveillance or Certification Body (PÜZ Recognition Ordinance). The following documents are required: the indication to which activity within the meaning of Section 1 (1) the recognition is to relate, information on the construction product for which recognition is sought; reference can be made to technical rules made known as technical building regulations in accordance with Sections 3 (2) and Section 87a LBauO, Information on the person, qualifications and professional experience of the persons in accordance with Section 2 (1) sentence 1, Information on economic and legal links of the applicant person pursuant to Section 1 (1) and the persons referred to in Section 2 (1) sentence 1 to individual manufacturers, information on the premises and technical equipment, the date of birth of the head or director and the deputy, Information on subcontractors authorisations and accreditations from other countries.

The application for recognition as a testing, monitoring or certification body must be submitted to the German Institute of Construction Technology. Appropriate forms for the application are listed on the homepage of the German Institute of Building Technology:
