Landlord's confirmation Unfortunately this specification of service has not yet been completely translated.

If you move into a new apartment, you will need a confirmation from your landlord about the move-in since the Federal Registration Act (BMG) came into force on 1 November 2015. You must present these to the competent registration authority each time you register. As a rule, the landlord is the owner of the apartment. However, it can also be the property management commissioned by the owner or, if you live as a subtenant, also the main tenant of the apartment. The landlord's confirmation must contain the following information: Name and address of the landlord Name and address of the owner (if the owner is not the owner himself/herself) Address of the apartment Names of all persons who move into the apartment and are therefore required to report Date of collection, i.e. of the respective reportable transaction

You will receive the landlord's confirmation from your landlord. The registration authority responsible for you will provide a form for this. The landlord's confirmation must be signed by the landlord himself/herself.
