Apply for motor vehicle assistance (car assistance) for people with disabilities

People with disabilities can receive benefits to achieve employment in the general labour market (participation in working life) and to participate on an equal footing in life in the Community: for the procurement of a motor vehicle for the necessary additional equipment to obtain a driving licence (driving licence) for maintenance costs associated with the operation of the car. Motor vehicle assistance is provided to an appropriate extent as a cash benefit (e.B. subsidy for motor vehicle or driving licence) or in kind (e.B. the use of the motor vehicle). Benefits are income and wealth dependent. The corresponding cost-sharing is determined individually. Only in exceptional cases is it possible to grant a loan, e.B. if assets to be used exist but cannot be used in the short term.

If the beneficiary is of legal age but, due to his limitations, is unable to drive a motor vehicle himself, he may be entitled to motor assistance to the extent of the additional expenditure required for the disability; in particular, the costs of the necessary additional equipment, maintenance and the costs associated with the operation of the motor vehicle are eligible for pro rata. This rule also applies to persons entitled to benefits underage.

Preconditions
Persons entitled to benefits are persons who, by disability, are substantially impaired in their ability to participate in society or who are at risk of such a substantial disability. They shall receive integration assistance if and as long as there is a prospect of the task of integration assistance being fulfilled, depending on the specific nature of the individual case, in particular the nature or severity of the disability. Persons with a different physical, mental or mental disability may receive integration assistance. Persons who are likely to experience a disability are at risk of disability, who, according to professional knowledge, are highly likely to enter the disability. There must also be a need for mobility. This is especially the case when people with disabilities cannot be expected to walk or do any other way because of the nature and severity of the disability people with disabilities cannot be expected to use public transport for the necessary routes and the necessary journeys cannot be made by other means of transport, e.B. by taxi ingessing or transport services, because this would not be reasonable or economic and people with disabilities can drive or are guaranteed to have a third party driving the vehicle for them, and they are constantly dependent on the use of a motor vehicle.
