The Asylum Seeker Benefits Act, upon request, ensures the necessary necessities for food, accommodation, heating, clothing, health care, household goods and consumables, as well as needs to meet personal needs of daily life, provided that the applicant is unable to do so from his own resources. In addition, necessary services are provided in the event of illness, pregnancy and childbirth. If the municipality has not acceded to the framework agreement of the Land of Rhineland-Palatinate, it issues its own treatment certificates for medical or dental treatment and also settles them directly with the service provider.

Applications/forms can be obtained from the local authority. First of all, an informal application is sufficient to meet the time limit.
Eligible under the Asylum Office are foreigners who are actually resident in the Federal Republic of Germany and who have a residence permit under the Asylum Act, want to enter via an airport and who are not allowed to enter the country or are not yet allowed to enter the country, have a residence permit because of the war in their home country (residence permit for temporary protection) for urgent humanitarian or personal reasons or there is a significant public interest in a temporary further presence in the Federal Republic of Germany. if the decision to suspend their deportation is not yet 18 months ago, have a tolerance in accordance with the Residence Act, are executable, even if a threat of deportation is not yet or no longer enforceable, spouses, civil partners or minor children of the named persons, without themselves meeting the conditions set out therein, or submit a follow-up application or a confirmatory application. Eligibility for benefits ends at the time of departure or at the end of the month in which the the performance requirement is no longer applicable, or the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) has recognised the foreigner as entitled to asylum or a court has obliged the Federal Office to recognise him.
