Dog tax exemption Unfortunately this specification of service has not yet been completely translated.
If you depend on a dog because of your disability, you are usually exempt from the dog tax. However, the conditions are different in each municipality. Liberation often depends on whether the disabled person is dependent on the accompaniment of a dog. The exemption applies to dogs that are indispensable for the protection and assistance of blind, deaf or otherwise completely helpless persons. In addition, rescue dogs that have taken appropriate training and examinations are usually exempt from the dog tax. In most Rhineland-Palatinate municipalities, a tax exemption is currently granted in accordance with the model statutes of the Rhineland-Palatinate Association of Municipalities and Towns.
