Broadcasting contribution in the private sector Discount
If you have a badge with the mark "RF", you can receive a discount on your broadcast contribution. You will then pay a reduced contribution of EUR 5.83.
For the reduction of the broadcasting contribution, a legible copy of one of the following documents is suitable: Certificate issued by the Authority on the award of the RF mark Severely disabled card (front and back) with mark RF An easy-to-read copy of one of the following documents is suitable for exemption from the obligation to pay a broadcasting fee: in case of deaf blindness: Specialist certificate of deaf blindness Severely disabled card (front and back) with the mark TBI (deaf blind) Severely disabled card (front and back) with the mark Bl (blind) and Gl (deaf) Severely disabled card (front and back) with the mark Bl (blind) or Gl (deaf) together with a medical certificate of the other disability Certificate of the Care Office on the degree of hearing and visual impairment for recipients of help for the blind: Certificate of the Authority Approval notice (The following information must be aswell as to the benefit granted, the name of the beneficiary and the period of benefit.) in the case of special persons entitled to special care Certificate of determination of 'special persons entitled to benefits' Please do not send original documents to the contribution service. You have a badge with the mark "RF" and belong to one of the following groups of people: You are blind or permanently physically impaired: degree of disability (GdB) of 60 percent solely because of the visual impairment You are hearing impaired, deaf or you cannot communicate sufficiently with hearing aids They have a disability and are therefore unable to participate in public events at all costs and the GdB is permanently at least 80 percent A reduction in the broadcasting contribution or an exemption from the obligation to pay a broadcasting fee may also have an impact on other persons in your home. Your spouse or registered partner and children up to the age of 25 will not pay an additional contribution if they live with you.
If you have a disability and receive certain state social benefits, you can receive an exemption instead of a discount. By proving that the authority concerned, you can apply for exemption from the broadcasting fee if, for example, you receive these benefits: Unemployment benefit II, Welfare Basic security or Bafög. You must apply in writing to the competent authority for a reduction in the broadcasting contribution. To do this, use the required form. You will receive it from towns and cities and from the competent authorities. You can also fill it out online. Print and sign the form at the end of the input process. Ensit the necessary evidence and send your documents by post.
