Deaths abroad may be subsequently entered in the German death register if the deceased has german nationality, or was entitled to asylum, stateless, homeless foreigners or homeless foreigners or foreign refugees and usually resided in Germany.
For further information on the necessary documents for the application for a post-moronship of a death abroad, please contact the registry office. Regularly: valid identity card or passport foreign death certificate with translation, if necessary with certifications Proof of marital status of the deceased (e.g. marriage certificate, divorce judgment) Birth certificate of the deceased in the case of naturalised citizens: additional naturalisation certificate in the case of asylum-seekers, stateless persons, homeless foreigners and foreign refugees: additional proof of special status.
Formal application - eligible to apply are: the parents of the deceased the children the husband or civil partner or the wife or partner
They are not obliged to have the death abroad in Germany certified. Proof of death is also the foreign death certificate.
