Restaurant operation Blocking period Exemption permit

In the presence of a public need or special local conditions, the blocking period may generally be extended, shortened or lifted. For individual establishments, the blocking period may be shortened or cancelled for a limited period of time and revocably in the event of public needs or special local circumstances; in this case, conditions may also be imposed.

It is recommended to provide a short written justification as to why you are requesting a shortening of the blocking period. You submit this together with the request for a shortening of the blocking period.

The shortening of the blocking period can only be made on request. This can be done informally. If necessary, an application form is also available in your municipality or is available for download on the Internet.
