Disability Determination at the request of the disabled person Unfortunately this specification of service has not yet been completely translated.

Proof of disability is the badge for the severely disabled. This shall be issued if the established degree of disability (GdB) is at least 50 and other conditions are met.

In addition, if health characteristics are identified which are a prerequisite for the use of disadvantage supplication, the badge for the severely disabled, in addition to the GdB, contains correspondingly registered signs.

The markers have the following meaning:
(G): Determination of significant impairment of road mobility, significant walking disability and walking and standing disability.
(aG): Determination of an exceptional walking disability
(H): Finding helplessness
(RF): Determination of the health conditions for the reduction of broadcasting fees and/or the reduction in charges for telephone connections.
(B): Authorization for permanent monitoring
(BL): Determination of blindness
(GL): Finding deafness
(TBl): Detection of deaf blindness
(1st KL): Determination of the health conditions laid down by collective agreement for the use of 1st class with second class tickets on railway journeys








  • where a different finding has already been made as to the degree of disability, the pension decision or an administrative or judicial decision (e.g. a decision of a professional association or a pension office or a field office)
  • medical documents in your possession (e.g. expert opinion)
  • if necessary, a power of attorney or a caregiver's card
  • for non-EU applicants: proof of your legal residence
