Early support for disabled children Unfortunately this specification of service has not yet been completely translated.
The offer of the interdisciplinary counselling and early detection teams as well as the early education centres is aimed at handicapped or disabled children in the age group from birth to school entry. Diagnosis as early as possible and subsequent support should eliminate or mitigate the consequences of a disability and support the children in their natural development.
The Land of Lower Saxony provides grants for the creation and support of interdisciplinary early support centres within the limits of the available budget. The State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Family - Lüneburg Branch is responsible for granting this grant. Further information, in particular with regard to the eligibility requirements, can be found on the website of the State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Family.
