Travel trade card Exhibition

A travel trade is operated by a trader who is commercially without prior order outside his commercial establishment in accordance with Section 4 paragraph 3 of the German Commercial Code (GewO) or without having one goods for sale, or orders (sells) or purchases, offers services or orders on services or entertaining activities as a showman or by type of showman. This requires a travel trade card. This must be taken with him in the course of the exercise of the activity and shall be presented to the representative of the competent authority on request. The employer must provide a second copy or a certified copy of the travel trade card to employees in his/her company who have direct contact with the customer or work elsewhere.

The competent authority may, if necessary, request further documentation. Tradesmen from another Member State of the EU or an EEA Member State may use documents issued in the country of origin which demonstrate compliance with the reliability and orderly financial situation of traders.
