Feed control Unfortunately this specification of service has not yet been completely translated.

Feed is the most important agricultural inputs in Germany, with a value of around EUR 10 billion. The demand for feed is about 66 million tonnes per year, which is about 8 times the consumption of cereals for human consumption. Around 40% of all compound feed produced in Germany is produced in Lower Saxony.

If the production and use of the feed is not targeted, carefully and quality-oriented, there will be significant economic losses, possibly consumer damage and environmental impacts. Official monitoring at all stages of the production, processing and distribution of feed (short: feed control) is intended to prevent this and at the same time to strengthen preventive consumer protection by means of official monitoring of the product.
