Apply for approval of an aviation event

If you want to hold an aviation event, you must first apply for a permit from the competent aviation authority.

When planning an aviation event, you have to meet various requirements. These serve to ensure public safety and order. The competent aviation authority therefore checks whether the requirements for the event management, the participating pilots, the aircraft and the event site are complied with.

You do not have to have the event approved if only flight models and non-motorized air sports equipment participate, which are not subject to registration and with which passengers cannot be carried.

Preconditions

  • Your event must not endanger public safety and order.
  • The participating pilots must be entitled to drive the aircraft.
  • The event site and the aircraft present shall enable compliance with the applicable minimum distances and minimum flight altitudes

The approval of the aviation event is carried out by the competent aviation authority.

After applying for approval, the documents you submit will undergo a formal and professional review.

If necessary, the responsible body will request further documents about your event independently.

If all conditions are met, you will be granted approval of the aviation event after the examination. Otherwise, you will receive a rejection notice.
