Short-term care for legally insured persons

Do you care for a relative or a relative and are temporarily unable, not yet or not to the extent necessary to provide home care? nd is also semi-stationary care not sufficient? Then you or the patient (with nursing degree 2 to 5) are entitled to care in a full-time facility. This applies: 1. for a transitional period following inpatient treatment for the patient Or 2. in other crisis situations where temporary home or semi-inpatient care is not possible or insufficient. The right to short-term care is limited to eight weeks per calendar year. Each year, 1612 euros are available for these eight weeks. You can also combine short-term care with prevention care. Costs for accommodation and meals for the patient or persons in need of care as well as investment costs incurred during the stay at home can be reimbursed by the care fund for the relief amount. The care allowance you receive for care at home is paid up to 50 percent for eight weeks.

Ask the respective nursing care fund which documents are required and whether there is a special application form.
