Issuing a marriage certificate
The registry office issues documents and certified extracts from the marriage registers. On request, civil status certificates shall be granted to persons to which a register entry relates, as well as their spouses, civil partners, ancestors and descendants. Other persons have the right to issue civil status certificates if they can establish a legal interest.

The applicant must be the person to which the register entry relates. Spouses, civil partners, ancestors, descendants or any other person who can make a legal interest credible are also entitled to apply.

After checking the authorization, the registry office issues the certificate or the certified extract from the register.
