In the case of a master's examination in the craft sector, you are exempt from taking individual parts of the master's examination if you take an examination comparable to the respective part of the master's examination before a public or state-recognised educational institution or before a successfully passed the State Audit Committee. You are exempt from taking Parts III and IV if you have passed the master's examination in another trade subject to authorisation or without authorisation or in a craft-like trade. If you have successfully passed other German state or state-recognised examinations, you will be exempted from individual parts of the master's examination upon request if at least the same requirements are placed in these examinations as in the master's examination. The final examination at a German university is treated as foreign diplomas in accordance with Section 7 (2) sentence 4 Of the Crafts Code (HwO). Exemptions on the basis of other foreign educational qualifications are decided by the Master Examination Committee on request. Upon request, you will be exempted from taking the examination in similar examination areas, examination subjects or fields of action if you take the master's examination in another approved or non-licensed craft or craft-like trade. or have successfully passed another comparable examination before a public or state-recognised educational institution or before a state examination committee.
