Arms trade - Take a specialist examination Unfortunately this specification of service has not yet been completely translated.

If you purchase, sell, place or visit, leave or arrange for the acquisition, distribution or transfer of firearms or ammunition as part of an economic enterprise, you will need an arms trade permit. You can prove the necessary expertise by means of a specialist examination before the examination committee of your federal state, unless you have the qualification prescribed by the Arms Act. In the expert examination before the Examination Committee, you demonstrate your knowledge: on firearms and ammunition of all kinds, if you have applied for a comprehensive arms trade permit, or about the types of firearms and ammunition for which you have applied for permission to trade.

The examination is passed orally. It should usually last at least 30 minutes, but not exceed 60 minutes. The tests are carried out as individual tests. If you have already applied for permission to trade in arms, the authority concerned shall notify you directly to the Audit Committee and notify the scope of the examination. You will then be invited directly by the Audit Committee for examination. The Audit Committee will inform you directly of the outcome of your audit. If it is positive, you will receive an examination certificate. You must send a copy of this certificate to the authority processing your application. If you do not pass the exam, you will receive a notification. The Audit Committee is entitled to provide the notice of non-existence with a blocking period until the next re-examination.
