Apply for admission to the legal traineeship with European degrees
With the successful equivalency examination, the equivalence of your university degree with the state compulsory subject examination of the first law examination is established. This enables your admission to the legal preparatory service.

You must have a university degree in law from a Member State of the European Union.
Section 112a (1) of the German Judges Act

In order to be admitted to the legal preparatory service in this case, you must take an aptitude test. You must apply for the aptitude test in writing. After passing the aptitude test, you can apply for admission to the legal preparatory service. The application procedure then follows the application procedure for applicants who have obtained their university degree in Germany.
