Seminars for staff councils from public administration recognised by the Federal Agency for Civic Education as suitable for educational leave Unfortunately this specification of service has not yet been completely translated.

Are you organising educational events for staff councils in public administration? Then the Federal Agency for Civic Education (BpB) can recognise your event as suitable for educational leave under certain conditions.

Staff council members from the public administration are entitled to educational leave for training and educational events according to the Federal Staff Representation Act if the Federal Agency for Civic Education (BpB) recognises your educational event as suitable.
For recognition by the BpB, your educational event should focus on one of the following topics, for example:

  • Service and labour law
  • Social law
  • Personnel planning
  • Assembly practice

If staff council members are released from work for your training event, this can have a positive effect on the number of participants.
The recognition of the BpB refers exclusively to the educational event itself, not to you as an educational institution in general.
