Application Annemarie Dose price selection
Unfortunately this specification of service has not yet been completely translated.

You can apply for the award if you are involved in a local, non-profit and innovative project that is no more than three years old and that improves the quality of life of groups or individuals. Similar to the start-up scene, there can also be small and medium-sized initiatives or associations that generally have little money but want to make a difference in society with good engagement projects. Good examples of social innovations are - in addition to the idea of the food banks or the concept of a street newspaper - various projects in the areas of intercultural cooperation or district design (e.g. urban gardening). Special neighborhood initiatives, intergenerational cooperation and open source movements are also part of the broad spectrum of innovative engagement.
The nominations for the award must be submitted and justified on one of the two application forms in the category individual prize or group prize. Self-applications or third-party applications are equally possible. The application documents are only available for download on the Annemarie Dose Prize website during the application period. These can be videos, pictures, brochures, etc. be added.

If you want to apply yourself or suggest a dedicated person for the award, you should consider four application criteria:
1. The commitment must be voluntary and unpaid.
2. The engagement project must take place in Hamburg.
3. The engagement project must not be older than three years. The current deadline is January 1, 2019.
4. The commitment must contribute to improving the quality of life of other people and be characterized by particularly innovative work.

When awarding the prize, as many areas as possible of the Hamburg volunteer landscape should be taken into account. The winners of the two group prizes of 3,000 euros each can be a legal entity (e.g. registered associations, etc.) or several natural persons who volunteer voluntarily and free of charge, work in Hamburg and work in Hamburg for a maximum of three years before January 1st of the respective award year have started this work. In addition, an individual is honored for their voluntary commitment with prize money of 2,000 euros, which is used to finance further training. The people to be honored must contribute to improving the living conditions of people through their voluntary commitment and stand out through a particularly innovative work.

The award winners are selected by an independent eight-person panel of judges chaired by the Senator of the Social Welfare Authority. The award is made on the recommendation of this jury, whose names are presented on the authority's website every year.
The Department for the Promotion of Voluntary Commitment is responsible for the coordination and execution of the award ceremony in the social security authority.
