License plates, small license plates for motorcycles
Unfortunately this specification of service has not yet been completely translated.

Since April 8, 2011, only so-called motorcycle license plates have been sealed for motorcycles.

These have a minimum width of 180 mm to 220 mm and a height of 200 mm.

Due to the smaller font size, the new license plates offer space for longer identification numbers, ie multi-digit combinations of letters and numbers after the abbreviation for the registration area.

Old, larger motorcycle signs can be exchanged.

Please bring the following documents with you:

  • Registration certificate Part I / vehicle registration)
  • valid inspection certificate of the general inspection (HU),
if an HU was already required for the first time, see if necessary the registration certificate part I (ZB I, formerly Kfz Schein)
  • the old license plate
  • the new license plate
  • the appointment confirmation.

Hints

Only the new, smaller motorcycle license plates will be sealed.

Renaming only by appointment!
