A European lawyer or a European lawyer who has a minimum 3 years of effective and regular activity as a resident European lawyer in Germany in the field of German law, including Community law, may be admitted to the German bar and bear the professional title "lawyer/lawyer". The exact prerequisites are set out in Section 11 ff. the Act on the Activity of European Lawyers in Germany (EuRAG). Pursuant to Paragraph 12 of the EuRAG, the applicant must prove the number and nature of the cases he has dealt with and the duration of his activity on the basis of case lists.

You submit your completed and signed application with all the necessary documents to the competent Bar Association The admission requirements are examined at the office of the Bar Association. If all admission requirements are met, we will invite you to the swearing-in. With the swearing-in and the handing over of the certificate, you are authorized to hold the professional title of lawyer and to work under this professional title.
