All-day schools/all-day offers Unfortunately this specification of service has not yet been completely translated.
In Hesse there are different all-day profiles, which offer different design spaces for the individual schools: Schools with full-day activities in the afternoon (profiles 1 and 2), All-day schools (Profile 3) and Schools in the "Pact for the afternoon" (project in cooperation between the country and school authorities for the needs-oriented expansion of education and care provision in primary schools). Schools with full-day services (Profile 1) offer homework support, support measures and extended offers in the field of choice and leisure on at least three days of the week until 2:30 p.m. Participation in these offers is voluntary for the students. However, once the parents have registered, there is an obligation to participate. Schools with full-day services (Profile 2) offer voluntary additional offers on all five school days per week from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. Among other things, support courses, elective offers as well as teaching supplementary and expanding working groups and projects, the supervision of homework and breastfeeding work as well as participation in open sports and play groups are guaranteed. Registered students are required to participate. All-day schools (Profile 3) offer care, lessons and compulsory all-day services for all their students or for a defined part of their student body five days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. Participation in the additional offers is fully or partially mandatory for the students. Primary schools and primary schools participating in the "Pact for the Afternoon" have a reliable and voluntary education and care offer five days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and for the first time also during the school holidays. Depending on the needs and oriented to the local structures and the jointly developed concept, the "Pact for the afternoon" establishes a suitable offer for the respective municipality, which integrates the whole day and care more closely. Parents can choose between at least two time modules, a shorter one until 14:30 or 15:00 and a longer one until 17:00, on request also with holiday care. In principle, the "Pact for the afternoon" is a voluntary offer, after registration of the child then binding.
