Zoo - Approval

Zoos are permanent facilities where live animals of wild species
for display for a period of at least 7 days per year. Do not be considered a zoo

  • Circus
  • Animal shops,
  • Enclosures for the keeping of no more than 5 species of shellfish listed in the Federal Hunting Act or facilities in which no more than 20 animals of other wild species are kept.

The establishment, operation and substantial modification of zoos must be approved by the competent upper nature conservation authority.
