Emissions/Immissions/Immission Protection Unfortunately this specification of service has not yet been completely translated.
As a neighbour of a plant, which can be a business or even a plot of land, you must tolerate immissions to a certain extent, if this does not affect you or only insignificantly. How much harm you have to suffer usually depends on whether or not there is significant nuisance, harmful environmental impact or other hazards (e.g. in the case of factory noise in the vicinity of industrial sites or emissions from industrial plants). There is a negligible impairment if the official immission values of TA noise or TA air are not exceeded and the emission values for the protection against harmful environmental effects are complied with at the plants. In doing so, higher requirements are placed on installations in need of approval than on installations that do not require authorisation.
On many basic questions of immission protection, you will find information / explanations on the pages of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety, the Hessian State Office for Environment and Geology and the Hessian Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection, Agriculture and Consumer Protection Procedural bases Detailed information on the implementation of emission protection approval and notification procedures in Hesse can be found in the procedure manual for the implementation of the BImSchG
