Anyone who commercially serves drinks or food for consumption on the premises operates a restaurant. If the offer also includes alcoholic beverages, a permit is required in accordance with the Bremen Restaurant Act. An application for such a permit must be submitted to the Senator for Economics, Labour and Europe, Department for Trade Affairs. For the holding of temporary events, there is the corresponding possibility of merely applying for a temporary permit.

Preconditions

A temporary permit to serve alcoholic beverages on a revocation basis must be applied for at the Senator for Economics, Labour and Europe, Department of Trade Affairs. In the case of an event to be held, the application must be enclosed:

  • In the case of security personnel, proof of completed expertise and personal data

The application for a temporary permit for revocation can also be made in parallel with the application for a personal permit in accordance with § 2 (1) BremGastG.
