Exclusion from European elections

If you have German citizenship, this is the case if you no longer have the right to vote due to a court decision.
The same applies to you if you are an EU citizen. In addition, you have the possibility that you will lose your right to vote because of a civil or criminal decision in your country of origin.

You have been deprived of the right to vote by a judicial decision in Germany or by a civil or criminal decision in your country of origin.

The exclusion from the European elections takes place as follows:

  • the courts send appropriate judgments to the municipal administration,
  • the municipal administration notes the exclusion of voting rights in the population register.
