Religious education Deregistration Unfortunately this specification of service has not yet been completely translated.

In the state of Brandenburg, the subject "Ethics - Life Design - Religious Studies" (L-E-R) is a compulsory subject (it is also said: ordinary or compulsory) subject. This is different in all other federal states. Students of the L-E-R lessons are deregistered when they attend the religious lessons of the Protestant state church or a Catholic diocese or the lessons "Humanistic Life Studies" of the Humanist Association. It must be demonstrated that the student attends this class. The application will be submitted at the end of the school year for the following school year. Religious people (from the age of 14) make the application independently.

Proof of participation - at the Protestant religious education of the Evangelical Church Berlin-Brandenburg, Silesian Upper Lusatia (EKBO) or - at the Catholic religious education of the Archdiocese of Berlin, the Diocese of Magdeburg or the Diocese of Görlitz, or - at the teaching "Humanistic Life Studies" of the Humanist Association.
