European Lawyer Admission
Foreign professional lawyers who have been admitted to a regional bar association in accordance with Paragraphs 2 and 3 of the EurAG may, in so far as they have regularly dealt with cases assessed under German law over a period of three years, be admitted to the (German) legal profession in order to acquire the German title of lawyer and to appear in the course of external law.

Status of a European lawyer already established Proof of continuous legal activity in the field of German law, covering at least three years, by means of appropriate documents, e.g. anonymised work samples
The admission of a European lawyer who has already been admitted does not change his legal powers _ this admission serves solely to award the title of German lawyer. European lawyers who have already been admitted in accordance with Sections 2 and 3 of the EuRAG, who have worked in Germany for a period of three years but have not worked primarily in German law, may be admitted to the (German) bar in accordance with Section 13 et seq. euRAG, provided that the necessary knowledge and experience in German law has been acquired and proven elsewhere.
After receipt of the application: Registration of the process and assignment of a file number Checking the submitted documents for completeness and, if necessary, requesting further necessary documents Control of receipt of payment of the registration fee Submission of the complete documents for the inspection and decision to the Board of Management After decision on admission: Preparation of the admission file by swearing-in Letter of summons to applicants Preparation of the admission certificate for the legal profession and the admission certificate in the Chamber District as well as the swearing-in protocol with the corresponding oath formula Swearing-in by the President of the Bar Association/Board of Directors Transfer of the data to the register of lawyers, assignment of a membership number and annexing of a personnel file Registration of the lawyer/lawyer in the Federal Unified Bar Register
